More Sweet Spots

Okay, so much for blogging more as a New Year's resolution. Oh, well... I will get around to it when I can, I suppose. I am grateful for those who do blog regularly! I love checking in and seeing a new post.

The sweet spots tour continues, though we do have some exciting things brewing around here. When the weather is better, I'll snap a few pictures. Too dreary outside to take proper photos.

Hubby brought home hydrangeas for my birthday.
I love hydrangeas and daffodils best of all!

Donuts in the glass dish, a sweet spot for sure!

I love it when a kitchen looks like someone actually cooks in there.
To me the oils and salt-pepper shakers are part of the decor.
This little caddy came from Target,
and I absolutely love it, a lazy Susan for lazy Suzanne.

Best of all is this silver salt container with its tiny spoon.
Yes, I use it, all the time, in fact.

Still loving my new bench cushion and pillows.
Such rich colors, and that stack
of magazines keeps getting higher and higher.

I'm curious. Where do you all buy your magazines?
It's getting harder to find them in stores, and
while I love looking at things online, there
is something much more inviting about curling up
with a good magazine.

Family photos, aprons, dishes, flowers, candles, a pretty bottle of wine.
To me these simple things tell the story of a home and
the folks who live there.

What makes your home a home?
I'm genuinely curious.

  1. It is so nice to see a post from you. Your home is as beautiful as ever. Your posts always make me smile because I can tell how much you love your home and that you are 'real'.

I get most of my magazines at Barnes & Noble UNLESS I am ordering them from the grandkids when they have magazine drives to support their schools. I don't buy nearly as many as I used to buy though.

I hope you have a wonderful blessed Wednesday- xo Diana

  2. I love all of your sweet spots. My kitchen is a working kitchen for sure. I have S&P shakers, olive oil and a crock of sea salt on my counter by the stove all of the time.

I pick up my magazines at the grocery store or Lowe's. Some I have a subscription to.

  3. Lovely images and your kitchen sure looks like a working place. I too have a working kitchen with all I need at hand. I love magazines, I brought some now that I was Florida from Win Dixie, or I get them on the mail.
    Thank you for sharing,
    Fabby

  4. So much pretty! I like to appreciate the things we actually use too...I appreciate looking at my coffee pot everyday. :)

I don't buy magazines at the store much anymore. Seems like every time I do they are $10.99 and I'm just not going to do that. I have a subscription to Cottage Journal, Southern Living, and BHG. That's my fix. :)
